Lost The USB Receiver Of Microsoft Mouse
There are many people who has reported this problem.
On Microsoft’s official forum, one of the user wrote:
I have lost the USB receiver of my Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 1000. I cannot use the mouse without it. Is there any way to pair the mouse with another USB receiver?
Another user wrote:
We have always purchased Microsoft brand keyboards and mice as we feel they are of the best quality. We recently were able to find a bunch of previously used Microsoft Keyboards and mice in our stock room but are unable to locate the USB receivers for these devices. Some devices use the small USB thumb receiver common today and some use the older, USB thingie that had the connect button on it, and also would be on the keyboard or mouse too. All our computers run the latest updated version of MS Windows 10 Pro. What can we do now?
If you’re also sharing same concern like the users mentioned above, here’s what can do.
The Microsoft mouse and USB transceiver are paired and will only work with each other. They are matched and mated to one another. Microsoft don’t have Unifying Receivers that will let you pair a mouse to a different receiver. Also, the USB receivers are programmed to receive signals only to their partner devices.
1In case if they are under warranty, you can definitely ask Microsoft for a replacement. You can contact Microsoft global support numbers regarding the same. The company should be able to replace them and resolve your issue.
However, if they’re not under warranty, unfortunately you might need to purchase new set.
That’s it!
