When will Windows 11 be released?

UPDATED: April 5, 2021 by Technoyl Team

Previously, Microsoft released a new operating system in Windows family every four year span. Windows 10 was released in year 2015 and people are now expecting the next Windows OS. So most of people now ask:

When will Windows 11 be released?

As of this writing, Windows 11 is only an Internet myth. There is nothing official about Windows 11. While releasing Windows 10, Microsoft already made up their mind and said Windows 10 is last Windows OS. But Microsoft is known for surprises, so who knows they change their mind and even come up with Windows 11.

When will Windows 11 be released

There are also some rumours in the air that when Windows 8.1 support ends in 2023, Microsoft may simply rename Windows 10 as ‘Windows’. The company will then continue ‘Windows as a service concept’ and will keep releasing servicing updates for the OS. This will ensure that users stay updated and keep receiving support for their OS.

There are so many Internet posts on Windows 11 but no one can positively confirm its arrival. Note that as of now, there is no confirm information on Windows 11 that can be provided. Well, if there be any updates on Windows 11, we’re pretty sure that they’ll be posted on official Windows Blog. That blog is usually the first to confirm any information of upcoming OS. The Windows team leading the development of OS usually posts new updates on the blog to make public aware of the changes.

Right now, it seems that Microsoft is currently focused on Windows 10 and targets to improve this OS. Windows 10 Semi-Annual Channel is governed by the Modern Lifecycle Policy. This means feature updates will be released twice a year for Windows 10 via the Semi-Annual Channel, targeting March and September annually. These feature updates released will ensure customers continue to receive support for their Windows 10 versions. And that would eventually reduce chances of having Windows 11.
